ASCENDA - 6:09 A.M. (in Bolivia)

Fanatsia storyline: We were outside a small village near San Cristóbal, seated side by side in a llama free-range pasture overlooking the plateau. For the past three days, we had been living with a Bolivian family who welcomed us into their culture, teaching us to play the zampoñas — wooden panpipe flutes — and dressing us in traditional clothing.

Now, within the stillness of a quiet moment to take in the scenery on these grasslands, our first thought was to create a rhythm that captured the sensation of distance from home: a fading sound that echoed into the unknown, repeated to reflect that we were part of something larger — a continuing journey across the world together.

I wished to express that, wherever we travel, our love for each place will endure, preserved in memory. By drawing upon the gratitude we felt in those present moments, we are able to revisit that love again and again. With every memory we create, I add a silent prayer: that the next will be equally beautiful and loved— to be lovely forever.

This story is just one part of a greater application to past experiences in narrative of Fantasia. She is more than a moment of time, she is an energy deeply protective and passionate in the most delicate of ways, she is the embodiment of self naivety before the lesson of discernment. Before there is discipline there is a carefree nature to roam around in the playgrounds of imagination, to be childlike with one another, to know only of purity in all there is to manifest with one another. The beauty is in an everlasting memory of our creative freedom—to construct a version of our lives lived in togetherness of soulful harmony and to destruct a deep sense of idealism towards the people who walk in these awakenings with us.
